Chocolate Swiss roll
12 Cakes - Chocolate Swiss roll
1 Cup Cake flour
1/2 Cup Cocoa
1 1/2 Teaspoon Baking powder
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
4 Eggs seperated
1 Cup Castor sugar.
3 Tablespoon Cold water
Filling
125 ml Orley whip (or cream)
1 Tablespoon Castor Sugar
Topping
200 grams Cadbury plain chocolate
145 grams Nestle Cream (small tin)
1/4 Teaspoon Butter
Sift and mix together step1 ingredients in a bowl.
In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff.
In a mixing bowl, sift the castor sugar add egg yolks and beat until thick and creamy then add the water and beat for about 1 minute.
Slowly add small amounts of the flour mixture and stiffened egg whites.
Line a Swiss roll pan with lunch wrap and grease with spray and cook then pour the batter and bake on 180°C for 10-12 minutes.
When baked, turn our immediately onto lunch wrap and remove the lunch wrap used to line the baking tray.
Use the lunch wrap to roll into a Swiss roll and allow to cool.
Filling
Beat Orley whip and castor sugar until stiff.
Unroll the cooled Swiss roll smear cream mixture and roll up again.
Chocolate topping
Melt the chocolate on low in the microwave.
Add butter and mix.
Add the nestle cream and mix well.
Pour over the Swiss roll.
