11 Biscuits - Ginger Biscuits
250 grams Stork Margarine
2 Eggs
2 Tablespoon Golden Syrup
1 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
2 Level Tablespoon Baking Powder
1 Level Teaspoon Bicarbonate
2 Level Tablespoon Ginger Powder
1 Tablespoon Mixed Spice or Cinnamon
3 1/2 Cup Flour
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar for coating
Mix the margarine and eggs then add the golden syrup and sugar.
In a separate bowl mix 1 cup flour and other dry ingredients.
Add the flour mixture and remaining flour to the egg mixture and mix well.
Form small balls about 2cm, dip in the sugar and set sugar side up in a tray about 4cm apart.
Allow to stand for about 15min - so that cracks will form when baked.
Bake at 180°C for about 15 mins then rotate pan and bake for another 5-10 mins until golden brown.
