Sojee Carrot Halwa
01 Starter - Sojee Carrot Halwa
150 grams Butter or Ghee
2 1/2 Cup Carrots Grated
1 3/4 Cup Tastee Wheat or Semolina
4 Cinnamon sticks
1 Pinch Saffron
2 Elachi pods
1 1/2 Cup Cold water
1 1/2 Cup Milk
2 Eggs
1/2 Teaspoon Elachi powder
1/2 Tin Condence milk
1 Pinch Salt
1/2 Cup Almonds Ground
Sugar to taste
Braise Grated carrots in butter or ghee till cooked on medium heat.
Add tastee wheat with cinnamon and elachi pods and cook till light beige.
Add water and steam well on low heat until dry lumps form.
In a separate dish, beat milk, egg, condence milk, elachi, saffron and salt together and add to the pot and steam on low
Add sugar and Elachi to taste to taste as needed.
Garnish with brightly coloured almonds.
