10 Mithai - Naan Khatai
1 1/2 Cup Cake flour
1 Cup Ghee
3/4 Cup Castor sugar
1 Egg yolk
1 Cup Coconut
1/2 Cup nibbed Almonds
1/4 Teaspoon Bicarbonate Soda
1/4 Teaspoon Baking powder
1/2 Teaspoon Elachi powder
Mix ghee and sugar till light and creamy.
Add eggs and beat well.
Add coconut, almonds, bicarb, baking powder and spices and blend in well.
Form a dough with the flour.
NB. Do not add all the flour at once as the flour quantity may vary as needed to form a soft dough.
Shape into small balls and place onto greased trays.
Put a piece of almond on each ball.
The egg white can be beaten and can be brushed onto the biscuit before baking.
Bake on 180°C until light brown.
