Chocolate Cake Squares
12 Cakes - Chocolate Cake Squares
1 Teaspoon Vanilla essence
4 Large Eggs
1 Cup sugar
1 Cup Cake flour
2 Teaspoon Baking powder
1/2 Cup Oil
1/4 Cup Cocoa
1/2 Cup Boiled water
1 Teaspoon instant coffee
Ganache
400 grams Cadbury plain chocolate
300ml Fresh Cream
1 Teaspoon Honey
Beat vanilla essence, eggs and sugar until fluffy.
Sift together flour, baking powder then add to the mixture and beat for 1 min
Add the oil and beat for 1 min.
Dissolve cocoa, coffee in boiled water and add to the mixture then beat for 1 min.
Pour the mixture into a greased dish (approx 41cm x 25cm x 8cm)
Bake on 170°C for 33 mins.
Remove from the oven.
Spread the ganache mixture evenly while the cake is warm.
Ganache Topping
Bring the cream to boil in a pot then remove from heat.
Add the chocolate and continue mixing until the chocolate is melted.
Then add the honey and mix.
Pour the topping evenly over the cake.
Allow the cake to cool.
Using a knife dipped in hot water, cut the cake into squares.
Carefully place each square into a cupcake holder.
