Chocolate Valentines
11 Biscuits - Chocolate Valentines
250 grams Butter
3/4 Cup Icing sugar
1 Egg yolk
1 Teaspoon Vanilla essence
1/3 Cup Cocoa
1 Cup Maizena
1 Teaspoon Baking powder
2 Cup Cake flour
Mix butter and sugar till creamy.
Add egg yolk and beat.
Add cocoa, maizena and baking powder and mix in well.
Add flour to form a soft dough.
NB. Do not add all the flour at once as the flour quantity may vary as needed to form a soft dough.
Roll out and cut into small hearts and place on greased tray.
Bake on 180°C.
When cool smear under side of heart with white chocolate, melted on low in a microwave oven, and stick on another heart.
Allow the chocolate to dry and dip the biscuit into melted chocolate and decorate the top with cherries or almonds.
