Roast Potatoes

4 Potatoes
1 Litre Water
2 Teaspoon Salt
Pinch of Tumeric
6 Tablespoon Olive oil
1/4 Teaspoon Crushed Black Pepper
Peel potatoes and optionally slice in half along the length to have two even tall potato halves.
Place each potato flat side down and cut incisions spaced about 3mm apart without cutting through leaving about 0.5cm on the base.
Boil potatoes with Turmeric and additional water to save baking time. Drain before the potatoes are too soft. Place the potatoes in an oven dish.
Mix the remaining ingredients and spoon over the potatoes by carefully pushing the potato slices apart without breaking through.
Bake in an oven at 180°C for about 30 minutes if raw, or for 10 minutes if pre-boiled.
Remove from the oven, brush with the oil again and sprinkle the black pepper on each potato. Sprinkle additional garnishes or dry chilli powder.
Bake until golden brown.
