07 Achaar - Savoury Chillies
20 large Green Chillis or Jalapenos
1/2 Cup Coconut
2 Tablespoon ground Coriander
1 Tablespoon ground Cumin
2 Tablespoon Sesame seeds
1/4 Cup Sugar
1/4 Cup Balsamic Vinegar
1 Tablespoon Honey
2 Tablespoon Methi Masala
1 Teaspoon Cake flour
1 Teaspoon Chana flour
1 Teaspoon Salt
1/4 Teaspoon Turmeric
Tamarind juice -Optional
Preparation
Make a Slit lengthwise in the chillis and remove the seeds.
Mix all ingredients and fill into each chilli.
Filled Chilis can be frozen.
Optional - when halfway done pour Tamarind juice over. Tamarind juice can be made by soaking the Tamarind pulp in boiling water for 20 minutes and then straining. The water is the juice.
To Serve
Grease an oven dish with oil and place chillis onto the dish then bake on 180°C in a pre-heated oven.
Bake until chillis are golden brown and crispy.
