Bhajia Chilli Bites
02 Savoury Veg - Bhajia Chilli Bites
1 Cup Chana flour
2 Tablespoon Cake flour
1 Teaspoon Salt
1 Teaspoon Tumeric
1/4 Teaspoon Dhania powder
1 Teaspoon Ground Jeera
1 Teaspoon Ground green chillies
1 Teaspoon Ground Garlic
1 Onion Chopped/Grated
1 Egg
1/4 Green Dhania Chopped
2 Teaspoon Baking powder
8 Tablespoon Water (120ml) or as needed.
Optional
1/2 Cup Corn Kernels and
2 Cups Lettuce leaves cut into thin 3cm strips
or 1 Cup plain Coleslaw
or 1 Cup sliced Potato
Mix all ingredients together.
Make into a batter using just enough water. Add a little water at a time.
Add baking powder before frying.
Preheat oil in a deep frying pan, on medium heat.
Put spoonfuls of batter at a time into the oil leaving sufficient space in between to allow for turning.
Turn over when golden brown and when both sides are a similar colour remove and drain in colander.
Optional
Add about 1 cup or combination of Corn kernels, sliced potato, chopped lettuce, plain coleslaw for variation.
Use tablespoon portions to drop into hot oil. Fry until golden brown.
Makes about 30 Bhajias.
